AKASHI GANGA
Dating back thousands of years, Akashi Ganga is a renowned pilgrimage site that draws worshippers from all over the world. What’s special about this temple is that it is associated with a prominent story of a Hindu deity known as Lord Shiva. The temple is located close to a sacred pond which is said to have medicinal properties.
This pilgrimage center is considered to be connected with the myth of Sati (the companion of Lord Shankar) recount in the earlier period of 8th century, Kalika Purana. The sacred place offers a brilliant panoramic view of the glimmering Brahmaputra River far below. The holy shrine of this state is situated at a distance of around 12 kilometer away from the Malinithan Temple. Even this religious temple is also well known as the one of the sacred place of Arunachal Pradesh. MALINITHAN
Situated near the incredibly picturesque Siang Hills, Malinithan is another pilgrimage tourist spot that has shot up in popularity among modern travelers. There was a time when the Malinithan Temple used to be a bustling religious site. But the temple has now been reduced to ruins. It was in the 20th century when most of the relics were unearthed from the temple.
Evidence found around the temple suggests that it was constructed with granite stones back when Aryan influence was prevalent in the region. Once you reach Malinithan, you will get to see a large variety of interesting relics and sculptures that will give you an instant glimpse into the lives of ancient tribes.
BOMDILA MONASTERY

MEGHANA CAVE TEMPLE
Meghan Cave Temple is a pilgrimage site dedicated to a deity called Lakulisha.
While the temple was discovered in 1962, its history stretches back to almost 5000 years. The land on which the temple is situated guarantees fantastic views of scenic rivers and lush green forests. Meghna Cave Temple also boasts intricately detailed carvings of ancient Sanskrit texts that can captivate the attention of anyone in a flash.
TAWANG MONASTERY
Steeped in scenic landscapes, Tawang Monastery is a dream destination for people who are new to pilgrimage travel. The monastery sits atop a hill and comprises 65 residential buildings. The library within the monastery stocks some of the oldest scriptures like Tengyur and Kangyur. Most notably, Tawanang Monastery houses a big statue of Buddha that sits peacefully within the complex.
About 2 Kms from the town is the Tawang Monastery. The Monastery is the second biggest and oldest in Asia and is known as the Tawang Ganden Namgyal Lhatse i.e., the celestial paradise of divine site chosen by the horse was founded by Merag Lodroe Gyamtso in the year 1680-81. The Dalai Lama gave him a painting of goddess Palden Lhamo to be kept in the monastery. The 8 m high glided statue of Lord Buddha dominates the sanctum. The great rotating prayer wheels, priceless thangkas, the drone of monks in prayer, sputtering butter lamps are an evocative vision. The Tawang Monastery has a residential building for the monks, a library, a museum and school for the basic education. Pierced atop a hill dominating everything around and below it is an enormous yellow-roofed Tawang monastery which was originally a large and fortified complex strategically sited where the caravan routes from Tibet, Bhutan and West Kameng met. The place is also famous with the legend of 7th Century A.D., King Kalawangpo and Khandro Drowa Zangmo, known as Tawanag mandal sgang.
